Ex-Mombasa Trade, Energy and Industrial Development CeC Hamisi Mwaguya, expressed his displeasure after he caught a driver littering along one of the Mombasa streets despite efforts by Governor Ali Hassan Joho to clean the coastal city.
Mwaguya who was appointed an advisor to the governor after unsuccessfully vying for the county's senatorial post in 2017, said such drivers litter shamelessly and complain loudly that the county government does nothing to clean the city.
He shared a photo of the culprit on his social media account, prompting reactions from several of his followers who also expressed anger, saying the driver should have been asked to get out of his car and pick the litter.
"Culprits who litter shamelessly and complain loudly..... One word for this driver...," said Mwaguya, on Friday.
