Mvita MP Abdulswamad Shariff Nassir has kick-started a fact-finding tour of the 8 public health facilities in the county.
Under the consent of Governor Hassan Ali Joho, Nassir visited Kader Bhoy Clinic on Wednesday with the aim of finding out the concerns, challenges, and areas of improvements in order to enhance accessibility and quality of health services in the constituency.
He checked on patients and affirmed his commitment to ensuring better healthcare across the county.
The move comes even as Mombasa Health CeC Hazel Koitaba on Tuesday paid a courtesy visit to the Kisauni MAT clinic to familiarise herself with the daily operations of the facility.
Accompanied by Dr. Fayzal Sulliman from United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Koitaba toured the facility that runs specialized Medical assisted Therapy programmes to over 750 clients recovering from drug and substance abuse.
The tour came after she made several visits to various health facilities across the county with an aim of tackling and smoothening services in the health sector.
