Kenya Premier League (KPL) side Kariobangi Sharks have expressed their satisfaction with their performance in the 2017 season although they left empty-handed.

Sharks were twice close to winning both the KPL title where they emerged third and the GOtv shield where they lost to eventual winners AFC Leopards.

However, the team expressed their delights over their efforts promising to come back even stronger in the 2018 season.

Despite the blow, Sharks still left the league with their heads held high after bagging both the golden boots award courtesy of  Masoud Juma who netted 17 goals and the golden gloves award won by their custodian Joff Oyiemba who kept 16 clean sheets in his 29 appearances for the club.

"The season has undoubtedly been a good one for the club having finished in a respectable third position in the league and as runners-up in the Shield Tournament", read part of a post on the club's official Facebook page.

"Despite not bagging any silverware to show for our efforts this season, the club is extremely proud to not only have produced the golden boot winner (Masoud Juma) but also the golden glove winner Joff Oyiemba who kept 16 clean sheets in his 29 league matches he played this season", read another part.
