[Photo/Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir]Mvita MP Abdulswamad Sharrif Nassir met village elders, religious leaders and heads of secondary schools representatives to launch a grass-root sensitization programme on the free secondary school enrollment. He urged the village elders to actively disseminate the information in their localities to ensure 100 percent uptake into secondary schools. "Secondary is totally free following Parliament's approval of the supplementary budget to fully cater for it," he said.Nassir will be receiving enrollment updates from all the secondary schools and hold a followup meetings with individual schools after next week.The meeting follows another meeting by the MP with Mvita public secondary school heads on Thursday regarding the 2018 enrollment into secondary schools.Among the deliberations agreed on is that the school heads should oversee the full implementation of free secondary school education.
