Shauri Moyo residential slum in Nairobi has been razed down by a raging fire that destroyed property of an unestimated value.

It started at around 9 in the morning.

The fire which is suspected to have been triggered by poor connections of electricity destroyed approximately 50 shanty houses thus rendering not less than 100 lives homeless. 

Fire fighters arrived at the scene and tried fighting the fire but were unable to fully fight the fire using one fire engine and had to send for more from CBD. 

Unconfirmed reports show that one person has been reported dead and others injured.
