Nairobi woman representative Racheal Shebesh has congratulated ODM's Esther Muthoni Passaris for winning the seat after the Tuesday general election.
Speaking on Wednesday, Shebesh thanked Nairobi residents for allowing her to serve.
"I thank the people of Nairobi for the time I served them as woman representative. I congratulate my competitor Esther for winning the seat."
Shebesh, who was seeking the seat through Jubilee Party, urged Shebesh to complete the projects initiated in the last five years.
"It is not easy and it was a rare move for Esther and I to have campaigned peacefully," Shebesh added.
Passaris garnered 829,473 votes while the incumbent got 672,613 following results from 3,228 out of 3,378 polling stations.
