Speaking during fallen Baringo South lawmaker Grace Kipchoim's burial in Mochongoi, Baringo county Saturday, also attended by Moi, Shebesh called for the end of the ongoing supremacy battle between the two, urging the Senator to stop battling Ruto.

He advised Moi to instead join hands with the DP as he seeks to ascend to the top post in the 2022 general polls, saying that he is in no position to engage him in a political duet.

"Ruto is a more experienced leader whom you should not fight but join. He is not your competitor but your mentor," she stated.

"He always stood with your father politically and saw him through each and every shortcoming and you should respect him for that," she added.

This comes at a time when Gideon is still on the receiving end over Ruto's recent failed attempt to meet his father and retired President Daniel Moi at their Kabarak home in Nakuru, with a section of Ruto's allies putting him on the spot.

She urged the two to embrace the ongoing reconciliation trend spearheaded by President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga to eradicate the hostility.

"Let's not open other battle fronts. We should let the spirit of reconciliation take over," said Shebesh.
