The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has been urged to ensure all issues being raised by political players over the October 17 repeat presidential elections are fully addressed.

Uasin Gishu Council of Imams and Preachers of Kenya (CIPK) chairman Sheikh Abubakar Bini says this will help the two major political parties in the country to have faith with the IEBC's ability to deliver a free and fair election.

Speaking in Eldoret on Tuesday, Bini expressed the need for the leadership of both Jubilee and the National Super Alliance (NASA) to have a joint meeting where all their concerns can be addressed.

He further faulted the opposition for advocating for the sacking of some IEBC officials whom they accuse of having a hand in the bungled August 8 presidential election which was nullified by the Supreme Court.

"There's nothing hard than cannot be resolved as long as the three parties all agree to have a discussion aimed at reaching am amicable solution of the repeat elections," Bini noted.

"Seeking for the sacking or resignation of some of the IEBC officials is not a solution at this time," he added.

NASA has been demanding for the removal of top IEBC officials led by the Chief Executive Officer Ezra Chiloba saying they will not go into the elections with the same officials who were involved in the alleged rigging scheme in favor of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
