Masalani MCA Mohamed Shide has promised to construct modern stalls drainage systems in the area due to the heavy rains being experienced.
The MCA said that he will not ignore traders who overwhelmingly voted for him in the 2017 elections.
“I won’t ignore traders’ calls to construct better drainage systems near the markets. Appropriate funds will be allocated to ensure a qualified contractor is awarded the tender to construct it before water exceeds,” he said.
He called on the county managers to ensure once the drainages are constructed and citizens will be safe from sewage menace.
The MCA assured that no single cent from the county funds will be misused or misappropriated in his tenure.
He warned any intention by officials to divert development funds to their own pockets saying nobody will derail his development agenda for the citizens.
