Residents of Shimanzi in Mvita Sub-county have been lauded for their exemplary inclusiveness in making their ward cleaning exercise a success on Saturday.
The sentiments were shared by Administrative and political leaders who also took part in the environmental clean up.
The exercise included slashing and clearing of bushes, garbage collection, sweeping of pathways in the area and unclogging of drains.
Area ward administrator Irene Muraguri appreciated the collective responsibility expressed during the exercise and urged the general public to maintain the practice so as to attain a cleaner and healthier environment.
Among the participants in the clean up exercise included Mvita MP Abdulswamad Shariff, representatives from the office of the senator and women representative, MCA, Mvita Sub County and Ward Administrators, youth and women groups and community health volunteers.
