Thika residents on Saturday had a chance to enjoy themselves with sweet sounds and voice of Shiru wa GP, a local and one of the most popular kikuyu and Swahili gospel artist and song writer.
The artist had been called upon to entertain guests and residents during celebrations to mark Thika’s society stores grand draw for their recently concluded Walk in and Drive out Promotion.
The crowd which was amazed by the artist’s knowledge of her songs off head and also the well defined dancing styles craved for more time of entertainment by her.
Margret Jambi a resident of Thika town said that she had only seen the artist in her video tracks but she now had chance to enjoy her music live. She also complemented the artist saying that she had a sweet and beautiful voice.
“I have watched her songs on TV but I have never seen her live. I am very happy to seen her today and I have really enjoyed listening to her songs,” said Jambi.
The artist who was the only one invited by the stores, rocked her audience making the CEO of the company rise to dance with her together with the whole management of the company.
The stores concluded their promotion on Saturday with a grand draw which saw a woman driving away a Mitsubishi Lancer, courtesy of the stores.
