Residents of Chelabal village in Soy Sub-County on Wednesday woke up to a shock when they found a grass thatched house torched and two cows killed in a certain home.
These follow a suspected disagreement between two lovers who are said to have been in a relationship for the last three years.
The two who are blessed with one kid is said to have disagreed recently which led to the lady going back to her home.
The man who is the main suspect in the incident is alleged to have sent some threatening text messages and even made phone calls to the lady Tuesday evening informing her that they are in danger.
According to Eldoret West OCPD Samuel Mutunga, the suspect is being tracked and will soon be arrested and arraigned before the court of law.
"Our officers are on the ground and we assure you that the suspect will soon be in our custody and will face the full force of law," said Mutunga.
Jenifer Keter, a local in the area while reacting to the incident advised all women to make sure that their daughters open up to them in order to be given direction on marital issues.
"We have been too much obsessed with money more than valuing the lives of our daughters. We need to be friendly and open with our children," noted Keter.
