The man nicknamed 'Towett' broke into his own shop and started packaging the goods into the sacks ready to 'steal' them. People living in the nearby rental houses heard the commotion and alerted themselves.

"We heard someone breaking the door. We alerted ourselves and hurriedly approach the shop," said one witness who identified himself as Alfred.

"When he heard our footsteps, he jumped through the window and we shouted as we ran after him," added Alfred.

When the angry mob who were armed with crude weapons wanted to launch him, he pleaded not to be beaten and identified himself. The mob was shocked when they actually noticed that he was the owner of the shop.

"He said he wanted to steal from the shop to teach his wife a lesson because she was lazy and depended entirely on the shop to feed the family instead of her doing other income generating businesses," said another witness.

The astonished mob did not either discipline the man or arrest him. They said it is her wife to solve the matter because it is a family affair.
