Eye witnesses say that the infant was found by a resident wrapped in a polythene paper bag.

"We are really shocked and we are wondering who is this woman who has done such a thing. This is very wrong," said James Onkoba, an eye witness.

Ogembo township chief Joshua Mokua, said after being alerted about the happenings he quickly alerted the police who took the body to the mortuary.

"This is the second time this is happening in two weeks time and we are really shocked who is behind all this. If found we shall take action against the culprits," said Mokua.

According to him, if a lady was unable to take care of her baby she should just go ahead and give birth and take the baby to the children's department.

He said that investigations had commenced about the matter.
