Three houses belonging to suspected kidnappers were on Friday set ablaze  by angry residents of Suneka at Bonchari in Kisii county.

The kidnappers had abducted a pastor three weeks ago who is yet to be found.

The enraged residents have accused the police of dragging their feet in the matter that led them to take action of torching the houses.

However, David Mburukua who is the  OCPD Kisii south asked the residents to allow the police carry on with the investigation and urged the members of public to avoid taking the law into their hands to destroy properties.

"Members of public please do not take the law into you hands whenever there is any case pending because we us police we are doing anything so as to contain the situation.

"So please members of public you should not take the laws into your hands and destroy properties. Leave the police to do their work so as to come to the end of the investigation of the disappearance of the lady," said the Mr. Mburuka.
