Drama unfolded following the disappearance of a 26-year-old woman last month.

According to reports, the victim, Lydia Nyaboke Onano, was killed after agreeing to meet her boyfriend for the first time.

However that evening she did not return home leaving her younger brother worried about her whereabouts.

She was unreachable and the brother was forced to inform their parents of her disappearance. Days later after not hearing from her, her brother Japeth reported Lydia missing to the police.

In a surprise turn of events law enforcement had arrested a man who claims he strangled Lydia and then dumped her body in Ngong forest.

They followed up on this and later discovered the body of a woman at the same location and transferred the body to City Mortuary.

The family of the deceased was contacted and identified the body at the mortuary. A post mortem revealed she had been strangled to death.

“She told me she was in Ngong and may not come back home. I then asked her for money to buy dinner, which she promised to send in the next five minutes,”Japeth said reminiscing the events.

However, it was not to be as she never returned home.
