Agony has fallen to the family of a top EACC officer family in Keben village, Nandi county.
This is after Stephen Kotutwo- a top Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission(EACC) disappeared in a grazing field three weeks ago on December 16 2017.
Detectives from the Director of Criminal Investigation are pursuing leads from calls Kotut made before his disappearance.
His wife identified as Betty, says that on that material day ,the father of four had gone to graze cows on their 3 acre piece of land 300 metres from their home.
Plans where underway to celebrate the graduation of their son later in the day in a neighbours' house. And the wife was busy preparing meals to suit the occasion.
She came back to serve him tea at around 1130am just to find his husband missing.
"I asked people around Serongonik forest that borders their land if they had seen her husband cross to the forest",said Betty.
It is now ten days and the search by villagers and EACC and DCI detectives haven't yielded results.
Kotutwo had been transfered to Kisumu office ten months ago after serving more than six years in Nairobi office, crime prevention unit.
He was on a sick leave since November last year.
Mobile phone calls of two women who spoke to him early that morning, are the epi-centre of investigation by the detectives who have now zeroed in to unravel the mysterious disappearance of the EACC official.
