Residents of Gucha Sub-County in Kisii County were shocked after a 16-year old school-girl killed herself after an alleged disagreement from their home.
The incident occurred on Tuesday evening leaving residents grieving.
According to residents who were at the scene of the incident, the girl had given threats that she may throw herself in River Gucha.
To the residents disbelief, the girl was walking along the river and after a short while some traders heard screams from the river.
They rushed to the scene only to find the body of the girl floating on the river.
The police came in to control the huge crowd that was at the scene before collecting the body and taking it to Gucha General Hospital Mortuary, awaiting for investigations into the matter.
