Botibigi village in Kisii County is in shock after a man speared to death his neighbour and drank his blood.
The 38-year-old suspect has since fled the village together with his wife and children after the bizarre incident.
An eyewitness said he saw the suspect drinking the blood of the victim of the attack.
Rispah Kwamboka, the victim's wife, said her husband left home and said he was going to get a Sh1,600 debt from a friend."I do not know what happened on the way.
We just received news later that my husband had been speared into his heart after he met with his assailant on the road," she said in an interview with the Nation.
Gucha South police boss Moses Kanyi confirmed the incident, saying they have launched a probe.
The irate villagers have since torched the suspect’s house and destroyed plants including bananas and avocados.
