A man who was found on the act with a hen on Monday morning was forced to marry it.
This happened in Miranga village Bomariba ward, Bonchari constituency Kisii County.
It is alleged that the man identified as Linus Okeyo was found defiling a neighbor’s hen at his house.
"The man opted to divorce his wife early this year. I had gone to have a word with him when I found him in his house pants down with a hen," said Simon Nyakoyo.
In a more shocking revelation, Mr Nyakoyo said that the man was found on the act two years ago with a cow.
“I raised alarm to attract members of the public who arrived and found Linus naked. We had no option rather than to force him marry the chicken because he chose to have sex with it,” he said.
Elders led by James Kamau summoned Mr Okeyo and asked him to buy 20 hens and give them to the owner.
Area assistant chief Benjamin Ayuma confirmed the incident saying the suspect is a known drankard in the area.
"He asked youths who have attained the age of marrying to do so," Mr Ayuma said.
