Residents of Gema in Gilgil constituency woke up to shocking news on Wednesday as a two-year-old child was found dead with his tongue and the private parts missing.
According to Gilgil police, cases of people being killed and dumped in the bushes are on the rise.
Gilgil OCPD Serah Koki said that in some instances, people are killed elsewhere and dumped in the area.
“We are asking the members of the public to report to Gilgil police station any parent who could have lost their child as the residents of where the kid was found could not identify him meaning he could have been killed elsewhere,” Koki said.
Laban Maina, a resident and elder, said their village had not of late witnessed such incidences and asked the police to intervene and identify the kid’s body.
The OCPD has said that investigations had been started.
