An old man was found dead in his house at Eremo village Keumbu location Kisii County on Sunday.
According to area Chief Joakim Nyamwaya who addressed the press on Sunday alleged that Samuel Gekonge was killed by his son who he had family differences with for a long time.
He said Douglas Gekonge who is the son of the deceased went to Nairobi committing the heinous act as the investigation were launched over the killing of the man.
“According to the information we have it is alleged that the man was killed by his son who has already gone under but we have heard that he has traveled to Nairobi,” said Nyamwaya.
“Police officers have launched investigation over the matter,” added Nyamwaya.
The body of the deceased was taken to Kisii hospital mortuary as investigation over the matter began.
