A middle-aged woman in Thika, Makongeni estate has gone blind after an eye punch from her husband.
It is claimed that Sylvia Kwamboka became blind after his husband punched her eye and there after refusing to seek medication health professional.
According to a neighbour Judy Waithira the husband who is a mechanic in Juakali, Thika Sub County came home and picked up a quarrel with his wife whom he inherited from his late brother.
Instead of seeking medication Kwamboka a mother of four turned to religious beliefs for healing. Kwamboka revealed that in the previous weekend she attended the healing conference at Nakuru hosted by Prophet David Owuor.
Speaking to the press the woman said that she is not ready to seek for medical care in hospital since she has done it before.
“Do not tell me to go back to theatre because I know God is going to heal me. There was a lady who was healed in Prophet Owuor’s crusade and she had tried all means before. My husband has nothing to do with my illness,” said Kwamboka.
Her neighbours however have asked the police to apprehend the man and force the woman to hospital since her eye is still deteriorating and she clings on religious healing.
