A 20-year-old woman has been arrested following the murder of her husband on Tuesday.
According to reports, the accused Christine Anyango, is said to have been fighting with her 32-year-old husband George Muga at home when things took a turn for the worst on Monday.
Neighbors in the Kanyikela village heard the confrontation and decided to check on the couple.
"We don't know what they quarreled about. We found Muga already dead at the time we rushed to the home," neighbors reported as reported by The Star.
On Wednesday, Ndhiwa OCPD Nixon Makokha reported that George received a deep cut to the back of his neck.
"We also recovered a blood-stained machete allegedly used in the killing," he stated.
Makokha added that Christine was arrested and will be prosecuted once investigations are done and she undergoes an assessment for mental stability.
"We will pursue murder charges after we collect enough evidence," he said.
George Muga’s body has been transferred to the Homa Bay hospital mortuary
