Somber mood has engulfed Bibilioni village in Bahati Nakuru following the sudden death of a mother of five who died moments after leading locals in celebrating re election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to the area resident, the late Mary Wambui Kariuki age 38 years died on Friday while asleep.
According to her neighbors, the deceased had said that she would lead celebrations if the area Mp Kimani Ngunjiri and President Uhuru Kenyatta are re elected.
“She was a strong Christian and strong supporter of President Uhuru Kenyatta,” said one of the neighbors.
The sudden death is a shock to the whole village of Bibilioni village as residents say the deceased had no history of sickness
Addressing media on Sunday at Bibilioni after consoling the family of the late, Bahati MP Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri pledged to support the family terming the incident unfortunate.
“It is regrettable that the deceased passed away after leading locals in celebrating the re-election of President Kenyatta,” said Ngunjiri.
The legislator also called on Nakuru residents to embrace peace calling on those not satisfied with the just concluded August 8th polls to use the legal mechanisms of redress.
