According to the mother of the girl, her daughter may have been defiled by several men.
She also believes that the men involved took advantage of the girl when she went to collect water from a stream near the school.
According to the mother, that Tuesday she left her daughter to handle some pressing issues, only to find her daughter crying and bleeding from her genitals.
"I did not bother to check on the kids since they were asleep. I continued to fetch water before the stream was disturbed," the woman said as reported by The Star.
Bungoma woman MP-elect Catherine Wambilianga is working together with county commissioner Joshua Chepchieng to bring those reponsible to justice.
"We will ensure those behind the act are put behind bars to act as a lesson to men who have no morals," Wambilianga stated.
