Residents of Nyaiguta village in Kitutu Masaba were on Sunday left puzzled by a rare incident in which a cow delivered a calf with five legs.
Few Kilometers from the home of the owner Paul Ongaro, another cow had delivered a calf with two heads in 2011.
According to Mr. Ongaro, his cow never showed any sign of complications during gestation period.
"It was healthy and I am shocked that the calf has all these complications.
"The vetenary officer who has been taking care of it never realised anything either,' said a sorrowful Ongaro.
The incident caused panic across the village with some linking it to witchcraft.
Until now, the calf remains healthy with veteran vetinary officer Nyamwaka Onsongo insisting it's a genetic disorder.
"There is nothing unusual with that. It's just genetic disorder which occurs to any animal including human beings."
