Jama's government is on record for spending a massive sh11.3 million a day, a value that has been faulted as being too expensive for the county while proving futile in developmental measure.
“County governments are spenting as much as Sh2.78 billion on only domestic and foreign travel against the approved budget of Sh12.14 billion," disclosed the controller of budget.
"This represents 22.9 percent of the budgetary allocation, an increase in 20.1 percent during a similar period in the 2015/16 financial where only Sh1.95 billion was spent," added the report.
Of the entire Sh12.14 billion the counties budgeted for travels in 2017 alone, Nairobi County government had, by the expiry of 91 days, spent a massive Sh135.14 million.
