A total of 37 people died in a spun of one week after the August 8 polls.

In a report that was released on Monday by the Kenya National Human on Rights that attributed the deaths to the excessive use of force by security officers.

The evidence were documented by the body are said to have occurred between the 9th and 15th August, with the youngest being baby Pendo, who was six months old.

The report; Mirage at Dusk, has documented events that happened before, during and after the disputed polls.

The report further reveals that the deaths were from one community.

The baby Pendo incident caused uproar from Kenyans, passing on after being clobbered by police while under the care of her mother.

According to the report, out of the 37 deaths, seven were minors; three girls and four boys while the other were youths and middle aged men.

The findings further reveal that two out of the 30 were female, while 28 are male.

Inspector General of Police during an interview with NTV recently defended his officers, saying he did not have facts to verify or deny that his officers were wrong.

Majority of those who died were from informal settlements, and suffered from gunshots.
