It has emerged that banking halls and building housing ATMs are the grounds from which robbers prey on their victims.

On Wednesday, four suspects were gunned down in a botched robbery after police received a tip-off.

The four had reportedly attempted to carjack a customer leaving a bank in Westlands to a construction site in Parklands.

The four are believed to be part of a gang that preys on people moving into and out of banking halls and ATMs in the CBD and environs.

Banking halls and ATMs make it easy for these gangsters to know when and who is walking in the streets with hard cash with them.

Therefore it becomes easy for such robbers to track anyone from the bank or ATM and finally rob them of their money.

Such areas are becoming a risk and it would rather be advisable to withdraw money directly from the bank into Mpesa accounts to avoid exposing our lives to these robbers.

Such incidents have been occurring with reports emerging shows that such cases are prevalent and police are yet to solve most of the reported cases.
