Loyalty is one of the criteria Raila Odinga's ODM party uses to award members be it tickets for elections or nominations to various seats.
And the tradition seems to have been breached on Friday when Governor John Nyagarama reportedly clashed with officials deployed to Nyamira as part of the ongoing revamping of the party.
Former Embakasi South MP Ishrad Sumra was openly dismissed by Nyagarama, who is in the US for treatment when the latter tried to seek for his support.
"I called the governor and informed him that we had a meeting within. He openly dismissed me and said that we were not welcome.
"Shockingly, he also said that he has nothing to do with Raila. These are remarks we are not taking lightly," narrated Sumra.
On his part, Nyagaram through Communication team dismissed Sumra as a 'loser' who cannot dictate management of Nyamira.
Last year, a section of ODM party members accused Raila of allegedly receiving bribes from Nyagarama to dish out party ticket to the second term governor.
