Marijuana addicts from Nyamira County now wants the government of Kenya to deport them to Canada instead of continued holding of Miguna Miguna in the country.
In a tough motion on Wednesday, the North American nation passed a legislation which now allows citizens to grow, distribue and consume Cannabis sativa.
And in Nyamira WhatsApp group, consumers of the 'holly herb' praised the motion insisting that its high time the country also recognises the crop.
"This is good move and as a user, I am proud of the Canadian Senate. If possible, the government should now deport me instead of Miguna Miguna," said Erick Oigara.
Another user Pius Makana said: "I am proud of the move. In fact, Kenya should follow suit. Alternatively, we are ready to have Miguna Miguna back home for us to go there."
In the debate, 52 Senators voted in favour of the motion while 29 of them rejected the idea in the heated sitting.
But in Kenya, growing, distributing and consuming of the substance his forbidden and punishable in the Penal Code.
In 2016, former Nyamira Senator Mong'are Okong'o shocked the nation when he tried to sponsor a similar motion in the country's senate.
