A senator wants individuals implicated in the lose of the Sh9 billion at the National Youth service shot dead.
Isaac Mwaura (Jubilee, Nominated) said on Saturday that the country cannot continue losing money to a few corrupt people when millions of Kenyans are languishing in poverty.
"Those found guilty should just be shot dead," the former Ruiru MP aspirant during the August 8 general elections said during an interview with Radio Jambo.
"We should not relent in the fight against corruption. It is our responsibility to protect Kenya, this our only home."
There is currently no law in Kenya that allows for the shooting of people implicated in corruption.
Mwaura spoke after it emerged last month that the NYS had lost Sh9 billion. The money was paid to people who did not supply anything to NYS and the same people had not tendered to make any supplies.
One lady, 30-year-old Ann Wambere Wanjiku Ngirita, was allegedly paid a whooping Sh60 million for supplying nothing.
The Sh 9 billion loss came about four year after former Devolution Cabinet Secretary Ann Waiguru resigned from the cabinet post on Nov 22, 2015 following the loss of Sh791 million to corrupt officials at NYS.
