( Photo/ the-star)Residents of Garissa town joined their counterparts in Jubilee strongholds to celebrate the ruling of Judge Maraga which upheld the election of Uhuru Kenyatta on 26th October 2016 following several petitions to challenge his re-election. Garissa residents were elated by the ruling and poured into the streets to celebrate the ruling. There was a clear show of unity when residents from different parts of the country who live in Garissa mingled freely with the locals to celebrate the win. "Allah is great. I am so happy to have Uhuru as my President," one overjoyed female resident shouted. "My heart is pounding. Tomorrow should be a holiday so that we can continue celebrating," added one man identified as Hassan.The ruling comes in the wake of the annulment of President Uhuru's win on the 8th August 2017 election.President Uhuru Kenyatta enjoys support from the North Eastern region. President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to be sworn in on Tuesday 28th November 2017 following the ruling as per the dictate of the constitution.The NASA coalition is yet to respond to the new ruling which definitely does not favour them. Raila Odinga pulled out of the election in the last minute, but his name was still retained in the ballot.
