Speaking in Bamburi, Joho dismissed President Kenyatta’s allegations that the national government had allocated funds to different projects in the county, including the Buxton Foot Bridge.

According to Joho, the funds were donated by World Bank and other international donors.

He said the President and his deputy William Ruto should show residents the projects they have initiated in the county, before asking them for votes.

“This is the year of elections and we have been told to defend ourselves. As a county government we have done our part. We want to see what Jubilee has done for the people as we head to the election,” said Joho, as quoted by The Star.

This comes a few weeks after the President received criticism from Cord leader Raila Odinga for allegedly initiating ghost projects in Western Kenya.
