Cord leader Raila Odinga has challenged the Jubilee government to rate themselves and give Kenyans a report card on their 2013 campaign promises.
Speaking at a public rally in Kakamega county on Tuesday, the former premier said that instead of Jubilee looking to see all their promises realised, they were still giving pledges with barely a year remaining to the next general polls.
“It is not time for promises. It is time to tell Kenyans what you have done,” Raila said.
He added that in reality, Jubilee had achieved nothing in their four-year tenure at the helm of the country’s leadership.
“The Jubilee government has thrived on deception of Kenyans for the last four years, a period within which corruption and tribalism have reached levels never before witnessed in Kenya,” he said.
“It is painful that Kenyans will pay the Eurobond loan which never benefited them but was shared by the corrupt,” he added.
Raila was accompanied by area governor Wycliffe Oparanya, Senators Moses Kajwang’ (Homa Bay), Elizabeth Ongoro (nominated) and Daisy Kanainza (nominated).
