The politicians met at the burial of a young man who was killed in Nairobi by thugs and was being buried at his home in Ndenderu A, Turi Ward.As the MC called on politicians to greet the people and send their condolences, aspirants armed themselves with harsh words towards each other. It all started with Nakuru Jubilee governor aspirant Lee Kinyajui supporters. When their time to speak came, they called on the electorates to vote for a six-piece and ignore the Independent candidates.
"When I stand here, I am campaigning for a six-piece, from President Uhuru to the Jubilee MCA," Lee's representative said.Molo MP Jacob Macharia, running as an Independent, watched in disbelief.
"Wembe ni ule ule," the speaker, rooting for a six piece, told the mourners.
When Macharia picked the microphone, he started by dismissing the six-piece clarion call.
"Na sisi tunasema ni wale wale," he shot back dismissing the "Wembe ni ule ule".
Macharia went bare knuckle and dismissed his rival, a youthful Kuria Kimani, popularly known as KK.
As he spoke his last word and handed over the microphone, KK sprinted to the front amusing his supporters. Kaboom!
Mourners were treated to a steady diet of politics, until the MC said it is time for eulogy, someone please read it!
