A showdown looms today in Nairobi as NASA and Jubilee supporters are set to stage duelling demonstrations at the IEBC offices.

Whereas NASA will be demanding that CEO Ezra Chiloba resigns, Jubilee wants him to stay.

NASA leader Raila Odinga on Monday requested his supporters to come out in droves to demonstrate at the Anniversary Towers building where IEBC offices are.

No one will however enter the premises, which will be closely guarded by police.

A section of JP supporters, headed by Gema Nairobi branch chairman Wilfred Kamau, have also said they will conduct counter-demos to protect Chiloba.

"We promise that as they prepare to come and remove Chiloba, we'll be there to protect not only Chiloba, but also the interests of Kenyans," said Kamau.

"We are tired of threats and activism from NASA. We call on all our supporters and members of Gema to come out in large numbers to protect our constitutional rights," he added.
