This might sound weird as the majority of people cannot keep up without at least taking a single shower in a day.
According to the post published on IFL Science, you are probably asking your health by taking showers too much.
Writer Rafi Letzter explains that showering too much messes up your health and affects the way your body functions.
His research focuses entirely on the human microbiome, the tiny microbes that live on the human body and which keeps it functioning.
Showering and scrubbing removes these microbes as well as the necessary oils from your skin leading to complications.
“Showering, scrubbing and lathering-up can all strip these as well as some pretty necessary oils from the skin, in turn contributing to skin conditions,” writes Letzter.
The researcher also maintains that not being used to showering can deter your good odor just for a small period of time after which your body will adjust and start producing pleasant smells.
“This, of course, doesn’t mean that you won’t still smell pretty terrible if you decide to give up showering. You will,” added Letzter.
If you miss a single shower in a day, it’s an added bonus.
