Kenya national team Shujaa has been seeded ninth for the 2018 Rugby World Cup Sevens in San Francisco, United States.
This comes after an impressive outing last week in Hong Kong, where they lost in the finals of the main cup favorites, Fiji.
The team has been in good form in recent series, reaching the semifinals in the last occasions; Canada and Hong Kong.
World Rugby released the July 20 to 22 World Cup where the eight quarter-finalists from 2013 joined 2018 hosts USA in qualifying automatically.
The top 14 seeds are ranked according to points accrued on the 2016-17 series and first seven rounds of 2018 in Dubai, Cape Town, Sydney, Hamilton, Las Vegas, Vancouver and Hong Kong.
Shujaa are in Gold Coast, Australia seeking a first Commonwealth Games medal this weekend having ended their run at the Delhi 2010 and Glasgow 2014 editions at the quarterfinals, losing to South Africa and New Zealand in that order.
The Innocent Simiyu-led side will hope to continue with their momentum and make it into the finals of world showpiece.
