National Rugby sevens team ran at the Hamilton sevens in New Zealand came to an entertaining end on Sunday.
The team finished sixth after loosing to Samoa 19-15 for the fifth place.
Samoa's Neria Formai openopened the scoring with just a few seconds from kick off. Eden Agero pooled a dirdtfirst half consoloconsolosation making the game to end 19-5 at the breakbreak.
Second half saw Kenya adding two more try's but failing to convert all the tries, Kenya remained at a disadvantage.
Kenya sevens picked 12 points from the series leaving the country at the best finish for the 2017/2018 season.
Kenya had beaten Samoa and Canada in the pool matches 19-14 while it drew 19-19 with Canada to finish top of pool D with 8 points. It then lost to Australia 33-12 in the quarter finals but then beat Scotland 33-19 for fight place semi finals.
Fiji won the Hamilton series after overcoming South Africa 24-17 in a thrilling game.
Shujaa will be expected back in the country on Tuesday. Up next will be the Las Vegas sevens.
