Nyalenda MCA Jacktone Onunga has challenged parents to discourage abortion practices by educating their children not to involve in sexual habits causing unwanted pregnancies.
MCA Onunga emphasised on the stern measures to culprits who were still exercising abortion and challenged parents to take up to their roles and discipline their children by educating them on how to curb pre-marital sexual habits and dangers of abortion.
Speaking in his office to a group of parents after a reported incident of standard seven girl who was so restless after having lost a lot of blood trying to abort on Tuesday.
Onunga noted with deep concern the dangers of abortion and challenged parents to completely shun abortion by disciplining and educating their children to evade abortion.
“Let us shun abortion since it is not ethical and lawful. We need to educate our young ones to avoid pre-marital sex to stop such dangerous incidents ,” advised Onunga.
Medical practitioner Joseph Ogolla, while talking on the same, reported that abortion cases were increasingly reported where quite a number had lost their lives and others surviving with severe blood loss adding that abortion posed lots of dangers to victims.
He urged parents to help shun abortion claiming that some parents allegedly help their daughters to abort.
“Let us stop abortion at all cost because it is both unethical, dangerous and unlawful practice,” said Ogolla.
Abortion is a crime in our nation and parents should discourage it with strongest term possible.
