Church Associations of Kenya Kisumu region have condemned the increasing number of commercial sex workers in major towns saying that the act is ruining human reputation.
Pastor’s association leader Ezekiel Obonyo challenged Kisumu County government to come up with measures that will do away with such unethical and unGodly behaviours.
Obonyo stated that commercial sex business is a bad behaviour which lowers human dignity and asked those involved to respect their body as the holy temple of God.
Speaking at his office on Sunday, Obonyo asked for proper mitigation in curbing such actions saying that the behaviour is undermining human dignity.
“However much this is a source of income to some individuals, it was one of unethical ways and efforts needed to be put in place to rebuke it,” said Obonyo.
A church ethical officer Sarah Mwajuma noted by emphasising the same sentiments asking locals to shun prostitution as it was not justified in the bible.
“Let us respect our body by not indulging in actions that are of that is not of any benefit to our bodies,” said Mwajuma.
