Youths in Naivasha have been warned against engaging in abuse and trafficking of drugs as the crackdown on all drug dens intensifies.
Area police commissioner Isaac Masinde on Tuesday warned those involved in drugs risk facing the full force of the law.
This was after the police in the area nabbed bhang of unknown value after a tip-off from the members of the public.
“We have managed to locate and nab criminals involved in drug trafficking after members of the public alerted us. The crackdown will continue and I will ensure that everyone involved in this is arrested. I further warn the youth against engaging in drugs because once you are arrested, you will face the law like any other drug baron,” Masinde said.
“Most of these criminal gangs involved in drugs have also formed cartels that are alleged to be involved in several crime cases in the area including robbery. In a bid to restore and heighten security, we will arrest all those involved in drugs and wipe out all drug dens. I thank the members of the public for the tip-off and urge them to continue working with the police to realize crime-free area,” he added.
