Mutua, who had toured Kwale County to market his Maendeleo Chap Chap party, said Kenyans should elect development-conscious leaders."For a long time, we have elected leaders who talk a lot and steal public money because they are from our tribe. That should stop,” said Mutua.The Maendeleo Chap Chap party leader who has been on a collision path with Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, asked residents to elect leaders on the basis of what they have done in the past five years.Speaking during the meeting, Meru Governor hopeful Kilemi Mwiria who recently became the first high-profile politician to join Mutua's side, praised the governor's development record, adding that no other leader has done what he (Mutua) has done since the introduction of the devolved system of government."No other governor has done what Mutua has. If we want development, we must be ready to be led by those who do it," said Mwiria, as quoted by Media Max.
