Kiambu MP Jude Njomo has urged residents to shun politicians who perpetuate divisive politics and instead work with those who are ready to promote peace and development.
Addressing residents of Kiangiru village in Kanunga, Kiambu constituency on Monday, Njomo said that divisive politics has no space in the area.
He asked residents to embrace each other and foster unity noting that it is the first steps towards achieving development.
The MP observed that some leaders were keen to divide the people with their petty politics adding that such leaders are not welcomed in the area.
Njomo said that unity should be preached by every leader adding that its time politicians took their responsibilities seriously.
“Political leaders should be on the front-line in preaching unity and peace among Kenyans and desist from divisive politics that has no value to Kenyans not only in Kiambu but across the country,” said the Kiambu legislator.
Njomo observed that politicians were spending much time politicking at the expense of pushing for development agenda.
He assured residents of his commitment towards promoting development in the constituency.
Njomo said that through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) he has been able to initiate various development projects including drilling of boreholes, construction of dispensaries and renovation of roads.
He assured residents that renovation of the Kiangiru road that connects to Kiambu will start soon.
