Bonchari Member of Parliament Zebedeo Opore has called residents drawn from Kisii County to stop the violence that has been witnessed in the past few rallies the Omogusii unity movement has held in the area.
According to Opore some of the youths in the county were being lured into violence by being given tips by politicians who are not associated to their unity.
“It’s very bad to see that some of the youths are being used by some politicians that I can’t mention here but ill ensure that responsible bodies take quick action on them for we cannot tolerate violence in our county,” he added.
Speaking during a funds drive at Sosera Secondary School in Nyamasibi Ward, Nyaribari Masaba Sub-county on Sunday the legislator said that they are looking into improving the living standards of Kisii county residents in the next few years as they are strategising on how to.
“We have come to realise that unity is power and once we come together as leaders we will get what we want as a whole community,” he added.
