Kerrow claims that some politicians are perpetuating divisive politics and tribalism saying it is a threat to peace as the country gears to the August 8 general election.
Addressing locals in Mandera town on Thursday, Kerrow asked locals not to be swayed by propagandists and inciters.
The senator that propagandist’s agenda is to cause divisions and violence during the August general election.
“We (locals) must keep off politicians who are only interested in propaganda and chaotic campaigns,” he said as quoted by the Standard.
The Senator stated that the country will have peaceful elections if rogue politicians are dealt with accordingly.
He urged the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to take stern action against perpetrators of hate speech and divisive politics.
“The NCIC needs to wake up and deal with politicians whose agenda is to divide the country by spewing hatred and propaganda,” he said.
Kerrow urged locals to remain peaceful as the country aproaches August 8 general election. He urged the police and security agencies to guarantee safety of Kenyans during, before and after the August 8 polls.
