Addressing supporters at Masalani in Garissa on Wednesday, Subow asked residents not to be divided by selfish politicians. He claimed that some aspirants are using clan issues to cause rift among locals.

“I am urging residents not to be swayed by rogue politicians whose main agenda is to cause divisions as we approach the August 8 polls,” she said as quoted.

The Jubilee Woman Representative hopeful urged political aspirants to sober down and preach unity.

She said that unity should be their focus despite their different political ideologies and party affiliations.

“We (politicians) should not use out different parties to divide Kenyans but rather use them to build cohesion,” she added.

Subow at the same time called on the National Cohesion and integration Commission (NCIC) to take action against rogue politicians who are threating the county’s peace through reckless utterances.

“The NCIC alongside other state agencies must deal firmly with politicians who ahead is to fuel chaos,” she said.

Subow is battling to unseat incumbent Shukran Gure who is seeking re-election and has vowed to defend his seat at all costs.
