There is no need to hate your neighbor just because he belongs to different ethnic community or political affiliation, says Muthwani MCA George Kingori.

Speaking at Ngelani in Mavoko Sub County on Thursday, Kingori urged the residents to embrace one another and support development.

“Let us all support politics of development and ignore that of hatred for improved living standards,” said Kingori.

Kingori said the locals should support all the elected leaders in the region to enable them to deliver effectively.

He argued that the leaders have constitutional mandates to serve the electorates without discrimination of any kind.

Kingori told the residents to be optimistic since their development aspirations had not died even if their preferred political candidates failed in August 2017 elections.

“I am sure each one of you still has the same aspirations you had while voting your preferred candidates during the elections, bring up the projects you wished implemented in the community so that we affect them,” said Kingori.

He said it was high time the locals embraced development since politics had long past, “It is now time to serve our people,”

Kingori said the residents should actively participate and raise their development aspirations during public participation for a.

He promised to execute his duties of legislation, representation and oversight to the Machakos County Government’s executive in a bid of ensuring the entire Muthwani Ward benefits from development during his five-year tenure in office.

The residents said they needed improved roads, public schools, water boreholes and dams, market, electricity and jobs for the youth.
